Who Can Live at Stripe Supportive Recovery Home

Eligibility Criteria for Residency

Stripe Supportive Recovery Home is a registered supportive recovery residence operating in compliance with the Community Care and Assisted Living Act of British Columbia. To ensure the safety, stability, and appropriateness of our care, all potential residents must meet the following eligibility criteria:

🔹 Residency Eligibility Requirements

Must be 18+ years of age or older.
Must have completed a recognized addiction treatment program (inpatient or community-based). Applicants must be clean and sober for at least 5 days at the time of application, demonstrating a sincere commitment to their recovery journey.
Must not require 24-hour medical care or psychiatric supervision.
Must be medically and psychologically stable at time of intake.
Must be able to make informed personal decisions independently or with assistance from a legal representative.
Must not be prohibited from residing in a supportive recovery home under BC regulations.
Must demonstrate the ability to live cooperatively in a shared environment. We encourage applicants to be actively engaged or planning on engaging in a 12-step fellowship (such as AA, NA, CA, OPA, etc.), as we believe ongoing peer support is key to lasting recovery.

🔹 Screening & Intake Process

Before admission, a pre-screening assessment will be conducted.
We will review personal goals, care needs, medication use, and any risks to self or others.
All prospective residents will receive a copy of our house rules, policies, and services prior to signing the residency agreement.

🔹 Residency Agreement

All accepted residents will be required to sign a Residency Agreement in accordance with the Assisted Living Regulation.
Participate in the creation of a Personalized Recovery Plan within the first 7 days of admission.
Follow Stripes’ Standards of Operation, safety guidelines, and programming.
